As silly as the concept may seem, there’s a real element of truth in the fact that a big bag works on a bigger frame. Obviously I’m not going to tell you not to carry a tiny clutch if you love it, but if you’re a big girl, carrying an oversize bag often looks more balanced. Not to mention the fact it allows you to carry loads more stuff!

Don’t believe me? Think of the slim celebrities who hang massive leather shoppers from their slinky shoulders. Thought Mary-Kate Olsen couldn’t look any tinier? Add a big fringed Balenciaga number, and suddenly she’s disappearing into the ether. These bags are one of many things that actually look better on someone with a larger frame.
